Healing in Community
Often the young men we work with will say, "Can you reach out to my mom?" Mothers in particular are impacted by violence to their children and communities.
During Mother’s Circle women who have lost children to gun violence and/or incarceration come together to talk, support and heal. Our Mother’s Circle uses the process and the ideology of accompaniment to work towards healing.
Accompanying Young Women
Women often face the greatest barriers to personal success. The Young Women’s Initiative embraces women, ages 17-24, who have experienced community violence or incarceration and empowers them to live a purposed life of restoration and resiliency.
Through mentorship, case management, job readiness and spiritual/educational opportunities we aid young women on their journey.
Caring for Families
Families are one of the strongest and most resilient forces to bring about change in our neighborhoods. PBMR seeks to walk with families as they navigate the challenges that arise throughout their lives and provide spaces of hospitality, hope, and healing for the whole family.
