ADVOCACY
We are committed to changing laws that rely on punishment and incarceration as a response to conflict/crime.
These laws impact people of color in disproportionate numbers and devastate our communities, leading to cycles of poverty.
Advocacy Initiatives
Incarceration impacts communities that are already struggling from generational poverty. We work actively to improve conditions in prisons and jails, including phone calls, family visits, scheduling, lockdowns and the grievance process. We seek to offer alternatives to incarceration through community involvement.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We are a part of Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P). CP4P is a group of organization that coordinate with the Chicago Police, Chicago Public Schools, the Illinois Department of Corrections, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, and others to reduce violence in communities through a coordinated approach.

As a place of learning and radical hospitality, we welcome the skills and talents of volunteers that want to learn and do more for their community. Volunteers can serve as little as one day a week to committing to a full-time year of service.
