Mother Brunner Family Center

The Mother Brunner Family Center
This center is dedicated to supporting the women and families that make up the PBMR Community. The Mother Brunner Center is a safe place for women and families to gather and seek the support they need in whatever form that takes.

Our Programs
At the Mother Brunner Center, members of the community join with staff and volunteers to experience radical hospitality while engaging in a variety of events and programs, including:
Peace & Healing Circles
We host monthly circles for young women and mothers in the community. This creates space for healing and peace to take root in our hearts.
Case Management & Mentorship
We accompany women one-on-one through mentoring and case management offering spiritual, emotional, and tangible support to women in our community.
Computer and Internet Access
Aligned with our spirit of hospitality, the center is a welcoming space where women are able to access computers, internet, or other resources that may be unavailable otherwise.
Celebrations, Gatherings & Meals
We are first and foremost a community, so we regularly gather at the center to share meals, engage in conversation, and dive into deep life together.

The Center's History

Founded in 2016, the Mother Brunner Family Center is located on the PBMR Campus at 5114 S. Elizabeth Street, Chicago, IL 60609.

The family center is named in honor of Mother Maria Anna Brunner (1764-1836), foundress of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, who dedicated her life to serving others and bringing reconciliation into the world as a faithful witness to God’s healing love.
