We accompany youth and young adults as together we navigate the complex realities in Chicago. The streets are unsafe for youth due to violence and lack of programs, so PBMR srives to be a safe space where young people can come, eat, share, and find hope to move toward their bright futures.
We accompany men and women through time of incarceration and beyond. Returning men and women lack basic supports from identification documents to housing. This community strives to offer a network of support to ensure everyone can find a new beginning beyond harm.
We accompany mothers and families who are impacted by violence and incarceration. For every young person killed by violence, a whole family is left with trauma and grief. PBMR creates space for these women to sit in circle and find healing in community.
